Coila gigs

Well, in the past few years you may have heard us playing at events as diverse as Celtic Connections or The Rob Roy European Premier.

Celtic Connections

The annual 'Celtic Connections' series of concerts in Glasgow attracts many of the world's top celtic acts.

We did a live radio performance for BBC Scotland's 'Mr Anderson's Fine Tunes' in addition to an evening concert.

Or if you are a stalwart of the folk scene you may have heard us at various folk festivals. 1998 saw our debut in Shetland.

Shetland Folk Festival Killin Folk Festival Ceilidh Gall Gallowa'

The Shetland Folk Festival is widely regarded as the most prestigious in Scotland. We were joined on the billing with some illustrious names in traditional music. Following this peformance, we were invited to: Arran Folk Festival, Bute Folk Festival, Killin Folk Festival, Marymass Festival, Samfest and Ceilidh Gall Gallowa'.

More recent performances have included the Kirkmichael International Guitar Festival and Septembayr.

Ripe ceilidhs 1 Ripe ceilidhs 2

If you happen to live in Ayr you would have difficulty avoiding us at the Civic or Gaiety Theatres in our annual concerts. Sometimes we can be found playing at the Riverside Club in Glasgow but we often perform at various ceilidhs in Glasgow or Edinburgh, including ones organised by Ripe Events.

A few years ago we performed for thousands of delegates at a World Conference of the Rotarian Society at Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow.

Corporate engagements have also included performances in Europe, North America and the Middle East.

Caledonian and St. Andrew's Societies in three continents have danced to the music of Coila.
