DOUGLAS WHYTE is one of the greatest piano players in the United Kingdom at the moment. After graduating in music from the University of Glasgow, Douglas has gone to work as musical director in various shows throughout Britain. Douglas also composed and arranged the music for the show Shehallion. Douglas's distinctive arrangements are a highlight of Coila's recordings and live concerts. He was recently involved in ITVs 'Pop Idol', in the role of musical director. |

DAVID COWAN is one of the top bass players in Scotland. With vast experience in Theatre, Television, Radio and Session Work, he has provided backing for Jimmy Tarbuck, Jasper Carrot, Sydney Devine and Andy Cameron amongst many others. He plays numerous gigs all across the country in every musical style and is a member of the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra. As a session musician he is in great demand and has played with the 'James Taylor Quartet' and tribute band 'Peatloaf' to name but a few. When not performing, David is also a teacher in North Lanarkshire where he specialises in Bass Guitar, Guitar and Drum Kit tuition. David has been awarded an 'Outstanding Musicianship Award' from Berklee College of Music and is in growing demand all across the country. |
